The southwest corner of Skamania County along the Columbia and Washougal Rivers is considered part of Washougal, whose city center is located in southeast Clark County. We live here for the outdoor recreation, the small town community feel, and the proximity to Portland. Some of our favorite outdoor spots in Washougal include Dougan Falls, Steigerwald Lake, Cape Horn, Cottonwood Beach, and the Sandy Swimming Hole.
