Firefighters serve flapjacks for a good cause
Fire District 6 firefighters will serve short stacks for a tall cause at the Applebee's in Hazel Dell on Dec. 11.
The flapjack fundraiser benefits the ‘Community Youth Holiday Event' at Sarah J. Anderson Elementary on Dec. 15.
This event is put on by the Northeast Hazel Dell Neighborhood Association. Last year, it provided toys and food to the families of over 800 kids. For $7, people can have a pancake breakfast, meet a firefighter, tour a fire engine, and visit with Santa. A total of $5 of every ticket sold will help provide for a family in need this holiday season.
Tickets are available at Fire District 6 headquarters, 8800 NE Hazel Dell Ave., and at the door Dec. 11.
